The African
Collection

This collection, consisting of smaller sculptures, musical instruments and utensils, originates mainly from West Africa, where the medical doctors Harald Fuglsang and John Andersen worked for eight years, before they settled in Thy and established the Kirsten Kjærs Museum.

Parts of the collection’s objects were purchased during their stay, while others have been private donations, the museum subsequently received.

The collection is displayed at the museum’s entrance area as well as in the roofed area in front of the Concert Hall.
