Victoria Hauke & Andi Otto (Hamburg, Tyskland)

Duo/Solo Performance COLD HAWAII

English: This evening the choreographer/dancer Victoria Hauke and the composer/sounddesigner Andi Otto show excerpts from their works.
Their meanwhile 10 years lasting international collaboration kept revolving around the question: What is the relation between dance and music? Is the dance following the music – is the music accompanying the dance? Or…?
In Duo and Solo parts they unfold an evening around ways of interaction between sound and movement.
Andi Otto will  play a self-built sensor-extended cello bow called ‘Fello’,
whereas at times a simular gravity sensor, attached to the body of the dancer, will translate dance movement directly into sound: surfing on a wave of sound and movement.
Inbetween the artists will give short introductions to the background of what they are doing. And the performance is open to close up with an artist talk.
