| Sun. April 24th at 16.00 | Marius Ungureanu and Mina Fred The Romanian composer Myriam Marbe (1931-1997) is one of the most important and formidable composers in the contemporary musical Romanian landscape. Marius Ungureanu, a friend and former student of her, found a similar enthusiastic estimation for Marbe’s music in Mina Luka Fred. It was only appropriate to create a programme for two violas that takes Marbe’s Sonata for 2 violas (Prologo – Aria – Epilogo), which she dedicated to her parents in 1966, as it’s core. The joy they take in playing traditional music from their native countries, which is Romanian and Swedish music, will give the audience a vivid impression of the manifold treasures of its diversity and beauty.
